as he proves with his most recent work, ALBATROSS.

.....Currently Alda is working on
several
projects including two original musical plays,URHERE and EXERCIST,
and recently finished a book,TRICK OR SCHKLEESCH!.
In recent years he has written:
SPLIT SHIFT
and ZOOPHILE, two playlets performed
during a drama workshop in Roseburg, OR.
McKADO! and
SPACE PIRATES! (of Penzance), one a Wild West and the other a Sci Fi
adaptation of classic Gilbert and Sullivan operettas.
By popular demand
he wrote the book and lyrics for an original sequel to his
McKADO! called
A YULE YAHOO!
In 1999 he wrote an original musical
called WITCH WHIRL'D setting all of the songs to
familiar classical music.
2000 saw a rewrite of McKADO! to be performed with a
smaller cast in a dinner theater setting.
His most recent musical, ALBATROSS, recently premiered at the new SWOCC Performing
Arts Center in Coos Bay, Oregon.

including HRT of Charleston, OR, UACT and HYT of Roseberg, OR, the Hi
Desert
Playhouse Guild of Joshua Tree, CA and Total Communication Theatre of Yucca
Valley, CA. Other than the non-musicals already mentioned he has directed A
THOUSAND CLOWNS and 6 RMS RIV VU. Besides McKADO!, A YULE YAHOO! and SPACE
PIRATES, other musicals he has helmed include: OLIVER!, PRINCESS AND THE MAGIC
PEA, PINNOCHIO, THE MAGICAL PIED PIPER, THE GREAT GHOST CHASE, YOU AIN'T
NOTHIN' BUT A WEREWOLF, PIRATES OF PENZANCE, GOBLIN MARKET and WHAT ABOUT LUV?.

Along with his wife, Alora, Alda is the cofounder of the
Hofferber Repertory Theatre which has done benefit shows for the Oregon Coast Music
Association, the Charleston Merchants Association, The Waterfront Players and the
Southwestern Oregon Community College Performing Arts Center. As the Hofferber Youth
Theatre they produced/directed shows to benefit the Laurel Lodge of the Masons
in Roseburg. They founded the TOTAL COMMUNICATION THEATRE in Yucca Valley
which signed/performed the musical GOBLIN MARKET for deaf audiences in Southern
California.

member of the HOFFERBER REPERTORY THEATRE.
